960 Grid System

Introduction

The 960-grid system is a numerical framework that grants web developers the ability to organize content within 960 pixels wide. Developed by Nathan Smith, this system is based on the average minimum resolution a monitor can display, which is 1024 by 768 pixels. 960 as a number is highly divisible, making it very easy to work with when setting up a layout.
